On July 26, 2004 the Corridor Business Journal published the first edition of its weekly business newspaper for the Cedar Rapids/Iowa City Corridor. Every week since then, the CBJ has provided its readers with comprehensive coverage of local business news. We cover news that is of interest, use and importance for anyone who does business in the growing Iowa City and Cedar Rapids Corridor. The CBJ is not part of a chain. The newspaper is owned and operated independently by John and Aspen Lohman.

A portion of each print-edition issue of the CBJ is dedicated to one sector of the business community. Among many other focus issues, these topics range from diversity to small business, to politics & elections and banking. We also publish a host of supplemental materials, including an annual Book of Lists and two Commercial Real Estate Guides.

In an effort to highlight the thriving business community in the Corridor and the people that make it happen, the CBJ also hosts a series of events throughout the year that are designed to honor the Corridor’s Women of Influence and Forty Under 40, a group of forty young professionals who are making a difference in the Corridor. The newspaper also hosts the annual Corridor Economic Forecast luncheon and the Fastest Growing Companies event.
